Harvest Gel Cushion

These gel cushions are designed to provide a High Risk seating system either on its own or combined with a foam base to provide extra comfort and protection. The Harvest Gel Cushion has a viscoelastic polyurethane gel with the same elastic characteristics as the skin and reproduces the consistency of the fatty tissue acting as a skin protector and 'shock absorber' to avoid the development and progression of pressure sores. The polyurethane gel moulds to body shape and movement, eases friction and shear and provides force distribution at pressure points. The gel does not run, leak or slide and moulds to the patient's body allowing even weight distribution. The gel is impermeable to liquids but is permeable to X-rays. These cushions are sterilisable, autoclavable, easy to clean non-allergenic and hygienic. This cushion is also available as a commode cushion (HGC212).
